It's important to note that Ava is made from vegetable tanned leather. This leather is treated very naturally - so marks and differences in colour tone are a positive! Each bag will be unique, this is not a fault - just the beauty of the natural product shining through.

Your bag will be packed inside a H&T cotton tote shopping bag (which is good to store your bag in - and or handy for groceries too!) and then into a cardboard box, with a care card and a signed postcard. All our outer cartons are fully recyclable, and are perfect for re-use.

   Vegetable tanned leather is a fabulous choice as it gets better with time and use! This very special leather is not coated with plastic or any nasties - it is left to be it’s true natural self. This means the leather will develop a stunning patina and soften beautifully. Your vegetable tanned leather bag (handmade in the UK!) will soften and mould to you, telling stories of your daily adventures together.

2. Can the handle of the Ava satchel be adjusted?

   Yes, the leather handle can be easily adjusted with the brass buckle. Wear high or lower at your hip. A longer handle is useful in Winter to fit over layers of warm clothes, then shortened again when your coat stays at home.
