Mike cuts the leather
Mike cuts every single panel of every single bag we make at Honey & Toast.
He uses metal knives (that are like biscuit cutters) and a heavy press so punch the shape out of the leather skins.
The knives are made down the road from the factory in Langport. Every bag and purse has it's own set of knives. To make one half moon bag Mike cuts 11 panels.
It is a HUGE skill to cut leather like this - noting the natural grain of the leather, and making sure there is a little waste as possible.
